Guide
There are many great places to eat in Devon,
whether they are famous for their Devonshire
cosy atmosphere, local produce, fine cooking,
or gorgeous surroundings - there's something
for everyone. We have compiled a list of some
of the most interesting restaurants and inns,
to enhance your holiday in the area and make
finding lunch and a dinner a pleasant task

La Petit Maison
This award-winning restaurant uses the best
local produce in their mouth-watering recipes,
from moules marinière to medallions
of venison with celeriac and potato rosti,
caramelised pear, red wine and game jus.

Based on Braunton, this classic pub has a reputation
for its Carvery, and a resident chef who

Jelly Bellies Restaurant
Located in Bratton Fleming, this resturant
takes pride in it's modern interior, the
viewable open-plan kitchen and the resident
chef's finely crafted cuisine. The website

St Vincent Hotel Restaurant
This homely resturant sits on the ground floor
of a grade 2 listed building in Lynton. The
owners, one of whom is Belgian, take pride
in the food and some excellent Belgian beers.
The regional French and Mediterranean dishes
include tapas, and there is only one sitting
allowing Hotel guests to relax in the evening.

Kitley House Restaurant Bar
The oak floors and dark red interiors make
this restaurant a luxurious place to enjoy
the cuisine, featuring only local product,
most of which is grown locally on Kitley
Estate and in the South Hams. There are a
variety of events around the year, and you

Diggers Rest
An informal and relaxing restaurant with a
reputation for good food and some unique
meats (crocodile and ostrich have graced
their menu in the past!). For lunches they
allow you to email them in advance with your
order to speed up waiting times, and you

Oliva Restaurant
This contemporary restaurant serves an excellent
selection of tapas and spanish food, with
some choice wine and a special Paella night,
with paella for 2 and a glass of house wine
